Dr Anne Douar, PhD

Dr. Douar holds a PhD in human genetics and started exploring the field of gene therapy in the early 90’ at Imperial College, London. She has over 20 years of experience in the development of gene therapy products for the treatment of severe inherited disorders in various field including pulmonary, neuro-muscular and ophthalmology disorders. She led several R&D projects from proof of concept to translational development stage, and coordinated personalized medicine program at the interface of life sciences and business. Anne Douar previously led the optogenetic program at GenSight Biologics, ensuring transition from proof of concept to translational research and clinical development.
